We provide hazardous waste site management services for construction and remediation projects. These include site-specific health and safety plans, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, HAZWOPER training, and soil, air, water sampling/testing for contaminants.

Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs)

Occupational toxicologyMany government agencies and private property owners now require a site-specific HASP for both environmental remediation and construction projects. Construction such as buildings, roads, development, tunnels, and railroads sometimes require additional considerations for hazardous waste management. This is particularly true when construction occurs on a former industrial site, landfill, or known chemical discharge site.

We prepare HASPs for hazardous waste site clean-up or general construction where hazardous materials (HazMat) may be encountered. We specialize in complex and sensitive activities that require detailed hazardous waste management plans. The plans include protection of workers, adjoining properties, the surrounding community, and the regional ecosystem. This has been part of our experience and capabilities since our founding in 1978. Often, the neighbors surrounding the construction site require monitoring to ensure that containment doesn’t migrate off-site. Such protection often involves upwind/downwind monitoring along the property perimeter.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is done to determine if and to what extent contamination has occurred. The site investigation can include sampling/testing soils and/or groundwater for asbestos, lead, chemicals, underground storage tanks (USTs), and biological agents such as bird droppings, mold, and bacteria. A site investigation report and a remedial investigation work plan are developed from Phase II investigations.

Hazardous Waste Site Management and Project Development

We conduct project supervision of hazardous waste sites with educated, experienced, and 40-hour HAZWOPER trained Site Safety Officers (SSO) and Health Safety Officers (HSO), Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), and Certified Safety Professionals (CSP). Our hazardous waste site management service capabilities include both short-term or long-term clean-up operations of chemicals, radioactive materials, heavy metals, pesticides, asbestos, or lead.
